Mike was appointed as Chair early in 2007 and he is greatly involved in making a direct contribution in leading the organisation. He is continually inspired by the range and quality of our services, the dedication of our staff and volunteers and the number of people we are able to help.
Mike is determined that Impact Initiatives will increase the provision of its services to meet needs by filling the gaps in statutory provision. Impact Initiatives was founded over 30 years ago precisely for this purpose.
Mike was a Senior Partner specialising in company and commercial work and charity law with major local law firm DMH Stallard until his retirement in 2002. He was also a Hove Borough Councillor for eight years.
Neil Moscrop has been part of Impact for over 10 years. Neil's association with the charity began in 2002 when he was seconded to Impact for six months to help with a major review and restructure of the organisation.
Neil consequently joined the board of trustees, becoming vice-chair in 2007 and being appointed Chair in October 2010. Neil brings many years of management and leadership experience across a variety of workplace situations to the Charity. He gained a wide range of knowledge as a Senior Police Officer with Sussex Police until retirement from the force in 2011 with over 32 years service.
Neil is now a Senior Manager working within the Security industry and is currently responsible for managing a large contract at a Central London University Campus. Like Mike Long, he shares a strong desire to sustain much needed services where gaps in statutory provision exist.
