Any donation you make will be stretched to make it work as hard as possible to benefit local people in need of support. Here are just a few examples of what we’ll spend your money on, and just how much your donation can help us.
£12 a week pays for a child’s place at the White hawk after school club
£15 could help us purchase information leaflets for free distribution to young people on topics like drug abuse and HIV/AIDS.
£20 pays for a tutor for an exercise class to allow older people to keep fit and active
£20 pays for a month of house meals for one of our Stopover residents
£23 a month buys a swimming pool for one of our Stopover residents, helping them to be healthy
£25 helps us provide supported Internet sessions for people with mental health needs searching for courses and jobs.
£30 provides an hour counselling session for a young person in distress
£40 lets us buy practical household equipment for resident in our Stopover scheme.
£100 would buy a move on pack (duvet, crockery etc) for a Stopover resident moving into their own flat
£100 pays to hire a room for one term to run an exercise class for older people
£100 provides an hour of drop-in support for 25 young people.
£200 pays for a trip for 10 isolated older people
£250 pays for a youth club session for 40 8-13 year olds
£500 could subsidise 250 after-school club sessions for unemployed parents, giving them time to return to training or employment.
£5500 pays for a part-time advocacy worker to support people with learning difficulties to make their own choices about issues affecting their lives
