Local knowledge for local connection
Impact Initiatives operates exclusively in Sussex and Brighton and Hove and has been for over 30 years. We are one of the largest and most diverse charities working exclusively in this area. This means that we understand local needs and we know what local services already exist. We also recruit our staff and volunteers locally.
This helps in many ways.
- We know local employers who we work with to help people into employment.
- We know the specific challenges faced by our young people issues such as with housing, drugs and alcohol, and work and training opportunities.
- We know local families and the challenges they face in childcare or after school child minding.
- We can recognise when our older people are lacking support.
- It means that the services we provide fit seamlessly with other services. But, although we’re a local organisation with our HQ in Brighton, we’re sufficiently large to set-up, manage and develop local services in a cost-effective and well-managed way.
