Service Manager - Advocacy (Ref: IAS)
Salary: £28,283 - £32,394
Location: Littlehampton, West Sussex
Hours per week: 25 per week
Closing date: Sunday, 30th November, 2008
The Role: Impact Advocacy Service
You’ll manage a well established and dynamic advocacy service and other learning disability projects in the area. With excellent project management skills, you’ll bring extensive experience of advocacy work with people with learning disabilities, including those with profound and multiple learning disabilities. With your skills in creative communications, you are flexible in your approach and have an understanding of Mental Capacity and Self-Directed support issues.
An excellent networker, you’ll report to commissioners and senior managers on a regular basis. You role will include line managing a diverse team, including paid and volunteer advocates, managing budgets and being involved in strategic learning disability groups within the County.
Project: Impact Advocacy Service
Impact has been contracted to deliver an Advocacy service for the last 14 years in West Sussex. Over this time there have been many new developments. In the last 6 years the service has grown rapidly and has secured a very good reputation across many sectors which has resulted in a huge increase in referrals. The overall service can be divided into three parts which are interlinked
