Whitehawk After School Project (WASP)

If you live in Whitehawk and need a place for your children to go after school or in the evenings then WASP might be able to help.

Who is it for?

The project is for children aged 4 to13 who live in the Whitehawk area of Brighton.

What does it offer?

An after school club for 4 to 11 year olds

WASP is a fun place for children to go after school where they learn skills through playing and organised activities. Our expert staff can work with individual children on specific issues too.

We provide many subsidised places for families, and we work with other professionals to support families as a whole. The club is also registered with Ofsted.

A youth club for 8 to 13 year olds

Our youth club is a safe place for children to go in the evenings. We run sessions two evenings a week. Our activities are fun but also help develop confidence and social skills. Children learn new skills such as cooking and how to deal with friendships and bullying.

Our expert staff can work with individual children on specific issues too.

"I love coming here we always do loads and have such a good time. If didn't have this place to come to I would probably just hang around the estate, then you get a bad reputation and people think you will get into trouble - they are probably right."
