The Young People’s Centre

Learn new things, meet new people and get help at this safe, friendly centre for young people in the centre of Brighton.

Who is it for?

The Young People’s Centre is for young people aged 13 to 25 who need some support and stability in their lives.

What does it offer?

The YPC is a safe, social space with a café offering affordable food, activities and games, and free access to computers and the internet.

We offer services to help you make smart decisions about your life. You can come to any of our three drop-in sessions each week, where you can get free confidential counselling or just chat to a friendly advisor about problems you might be having with your sexual health, mental health, education, work or training.

We also give you the chance to get new skills for work, or to learn about new things, like cooking, art, film and music.

“It's a brilliant place for young people and it's a good place to go if you are worried about anything.”

“I love this place, it feels like home when I get here.”

“The reason I come here is because of the food, if I couldn’t have anything here I don’t know if I’d eat.”

“I’d be feeling the hunger if the kitchen wasn’t there for my dinner, because I don’t feed myself.”
