Core Objectives

Women at a multicultural event

Impact Initiatives runs a range of projects and services across Sussex to enable individuals and communities to achieve an improved quality of life and to promote people's inclusion within the wider community.

We seek to make a difference in three key areas:

Health

  • Helping people to access health services that are focused on their needs.
  • Encouraging people to take responsibility for their health and well-being.
  • Providing enjoyable, accessible and healthy activities.

Independence

  • Enabling people to express their needs and make decisions about the way they live their lives.
  • Supporting people to live independently and take responsibility for themselves.
  • Supporting people to carry on living independently.

Learning

  • Encouraging people's aspirations and supporting them to achieve their goals.
  • Helping people to overcome barriers to education, training and employment.
  • Helping people to learn new skills and have new experiences.

Our Projects

We currently run 15 projects across Sussex.

Bridge the Gap

"In 1978 IMPACT’s original vision was to: 'Bridge the Gap'. That is to provide services for hard to reach, excluded communities and individuals across Sussex, to ensure access to services and support where there is clearly identified need. We continue to maintain this vision and I am continually inspired to see the range and quality of our services, the dedication of our staff and volunteers and the number of people we are able to help"
