Mike was appointed as Chair early in 2007 and he is greatly enjoying the chance to be involved in making a direct contribution to the community. As Chair he travels around all our projects which stretch from Hastings to Littlehampton. He is continually inspired to see the range and quality of our services, the dedication of our staff and volunteers and the number of people we are able to help.
However the need across the city and the two counties is enormous and continually growing. Mike is determined that Impact Initiatives will increase the provision of its unique blend of depth and range of services to meet those needs. Impact Initiatives was founded 30 years ago precisely to meet those unmet needs and to fill the gaps.

"In 1978 IMPACT’s original vision was to: 'Bridge the Gap'. That is to provide services for hard to reach, excluded communities and individuals across Sussex, to ensure access to services and support where there is clearly identified need. We continue to maintain this vision and I am continually inspired to see the range and quality of our services, the dedication of our staff and volunteers and the number of people we are able to help"

Mike Long, Chair
